Dayanand Public School, situated in a spacious building in Civil Lines, Bikaner was founded in 1994 by Manav Seva Sangh. Manav Seva Sangh is a registered body floated by Arya Samaj, Permanand Basti, Bikaner. It is a premier institute of the city. The school lays great emphasis not only on English but also on moral, cultural and physical education. Moral and cultural education is provided not only through commandments but through small stories taken from great Indian epics and world literature. A great deal of attention is paid in the field of athletics and sports. The school has more than 200 strong contingents of Karate skilled young children. There is a small Zoo in the school premises for children. Each class-room is fitted with an air-cooler. Pure healthy drinking water is provided to the children through Zero-B on line filters attached to water-coolers. There is a close-circuit TV to keep a watchful eye on the students with 44 cameras fitted in class-rooms, corridors and other places. Computer is used as a tool of education. CD’s some purchased and other mostly prepared by the school computer staff, are used to illustrate and teach the contents of the syllabi prescribed by NCERT.
School has two digital class rooms and provides the best teaching to the students through trained staff from "Teach Next" (Helix).

           The school follows CBSE in Middle and Secondary section. There is no Exam for them. In higher classes evaluation is done through periodic tests. We believe that school should be the nucleus of society. Therefore, the students are also trained to work in social spheres, such as environmental issues, preservation of species on the verge of extinction, working for the upliftment of the weaker sections for the society and helping in times of natural calamities etc. Polythene bags are banned in the school. The school is in touch with Bombay Natural Society. Students visit different villages to educate the villagers and make them aware of the protection of endangered species.
